How do I enrol in courses and pay my membership fee?

  1. Open Membership System (U-MAS)
  2. In U-MAS, choose the Login link in the left side menu, and login with your membership number / email address and password.
  3. Click the Courses link in the left side menu.
  4. To select a course, click the course name in the list to open up the course details, and then click the Add To Cart button at the bottom of the course detail.
    • Note that if you do not already have a membership subscription for the current enrolment period, a subscription will be automatically added to your cart when you add the first course.
    • Initially you can only select three courses. This gives all members the opportunity of being accepted into at least one course of their choice. This limit will be removed after 8 December and you can go online again and make further selections. Computer, Summer School and selecting to Volunteer are not included in your first three choices.
    • Consider becoming a volunteer. You can indicate your interest by selecting one or more of the volunteer “courses” listed. See more about volunteer opportunities on our Membership page.
  5. If you would like to view the courses that are already in your cart, click the Cart icon at the top of your screen (wide screens) or bottom of your screen (smartphones).
  6. When you have finished selecting courses and are ready to confirm your selections, go to the Checkout link in the left side menu.
  7. If there is a membership subscription in your cart, you will need to tick the checkbox to agree to the membership Terms & Conditions.
  8. Click the Checkout button.
  9. Once the checkout process is complete, your invoice will be displayed. If the invoice includes a membership subscription fee, this will need to be paid either online or at the office:
    • Paying online: You can pay immediately using the PayPal button displayed on the invoice. Note that you can use a credit card to pay via PayPal, even if you don’t have a PayPal account.
    • Paying offline: Print two copies of the invoice and bring them to the Silver Grove office where you can pay by cash, cheque or credit card.

Please note:

Restricted Courses: Some classes have a restriction on them due high demand. Therefore, you will only be able to enrol in one restricted class within a course group. These classes are marked with an R in the course code. If you enrol in a Restricted class you will be advised by email if you have been accepted.

Zero-marked Courses: If you enrol in a class that show a class maximum enrolment as Zero, you will be waitlisted initially because Leaders of these classes have indicated that a certain skill level is required. You will be advised by email if you have been accepted.
