Plans are well underway to make next January’s Summer School the most varied ever, with a wide range of new and exciting classes and activities already confirmed.
Just as a preview of what’s planned so far, you will be able to watch cooking demonstrations in our specially designed Hub kitchen, visit members’ gardens in our very own open garden scheme, hear some fascinating lectures and participate in some great craft classes.
So far we have over 40 classes and activities planned for the two weeks from Tuesday 11 until Thursday 20 January including the opportunity to play lawn bowls, table tennis and golf.
If you have a garden you would like to share with members as part of our Open Gardens Day, please contact Summer School Convenor Valerie Donlon on 0417 318 008 and have a chat. Your garden doesn’t have to be large or include lots of different plants but might just concentrate on roses, succulents or fruit and vegetables. However, to avoid too much travelling, gardens should be within 5ks of the Hub.
Not too late to offer your skills
As a general call-out to all members, it’s still not too late if you would like to share your special interest with members as part of our Summer School. Please contact Valerie Donlon on 0417 318 008 to discuss your ideas.
After another pretty tough year, let’s make our 2022 U3A Nunawading Summer School the very best yet.
