This year we are running a range of Christmas Workshops for members who would like to try their hand at making their own Christmas cards, decorations or gifts.
A number of our Craft Leaders have kindly agreed to run these classes over the first two weeks after the end of Term 4. Commencing on Monday 29 November and ending on Wednesday 8 December you will have the opportunity of learning how to make a range of lovely handmade Christmas items.
Full details of the classes will be advertised in our October Update and you will then be able to enrol in the sessions of you choice via UMAS or at our Reception Desk once we re-open.
At the moment here are some of the classes that will be on offer either as a single session or as two sessions run over the two weeks:
- Rather than buying your Christmas cards this year you might like to make your own with Cynthia Rees.
- If you would like to make some Christmas tree decorations either to keep yourself or to give to family and friends, Kitty Wong will show you how to fold special paper to make decorations such as the ones her class members have made in previous years for U3A Nunawading’s Christmas tree.
- For members who enjoy embroidery, Leonie Clyne has some lovely Christmas gift ideas to share in her class.
Look out for more details in our next Update.
